As ASHRAE seeks to expand its mission around the globe, the Society is offering ASHRAE content in languages other than English. ASHRAE South Korea Chapter has translated books, standards, and guidelines published by ASHRAE Society into Korean. ASHRAE South Korea chapter members who wish to translate ASHRAE publications should email the title of the publication(s) to the Editor of Special Publications, who will discuss all requests with the Director of Publications and Education and explain the terms of translation agreements for approved projects.

The ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturers (DL) Program began in Society Year 1996-97. The purpose of the program is to provide ASHRAE Chapters with lecturers equipped to speak on relevant subjects of interest to ASHRAE members and guests without incurring huge costs. The Distinguished Lecturer Program is supervised by the Chapter Technology Transfer Committee.

The ASHRAE Technology Awards recognize outstanding achievements by members who have successfully applied innovative building design in the areas of occupant comfort, indoor air quality and energy conservation. Their designs incorporate ASHRAE standards for effective energy management and IAQ. Performance is proven through one year’s actual, verifiable operating data. ASHRAE members who design and/or conceive innovative technological concepts that are proven through actual operating data can submit the proposal to CTTC chair in South Korea Chapter at first. ASHRAE members can communicate the innovative systems designs to other ASHRAE members and Introduce your technological achievements of ASHRAE to others, including associated professional and societies worldwide, as well as building and facility owners.

ASHRAE South Korea Chapter holds the technical tours to zero-energy buildings, high-tech buildings, smart buildings and awarded buildings.
